pumpkin memories

This year we decided to grow pumpkins in my garden, and they turned out great. We have about 15 all together. We let Baylie pick one of the pumpkins out that she wanted to carve, it was a little baby one, compared to all the other pumpkins. She had so much fun. We cut open the top and she went to town. She loves getting messy, it took some time for her to get all the guts and seeds out of the pumpkin. Once she was done doing that she thought it would be great to put everything back into the pumpkin, so once again we had to scoop everything out. We put eyes, nose, and a mouth on the pumpkin and she loved seeing it come to life. Baylie was giving it hugs and kisses the rest of the day. She even wanted to call grandma up to tell her all about the
Orange pumpkin she just carved. I love this season, it brings back so much wonderful memories from when I was a child. We use to get to pick a pumpkin and then dad would help us carve them. He was always so creative and we always had the best Jack-o-laterns in town. I just hope Baylie will have great memories, that she one day can share with her kids.
